It is with great pleasure and much anticipation that I welcome you to the new Con Brio season. Now that The Model has re-opened we will present most of our concerts in the impressive new performance space there, which allows us to programme ensembles of varying sizes. I’m delighted that as well as welcoming back our friends the Irish Chamber Orchestra, we will introduce both the Irish Baroque Orchestra and, from Spain, Concerto Málaga, and it will be very exciting to hear larger- scale repertoire spanning the ages, and the continent, of such high calibre.
It seems only yesterday since we started Con Brio thinking that we would run one or two concerts - Twelve years and one hundred concerts later, we are still here!
