Concerto Malaga
Concerto Malaga is a Spanish String Orchestra founded in 1996 by a group of young musicians from Andalusia, and made its debut in March 1997 in the Hall of Columns of the Palace de la Aduana de Málaga. Six violins, three violas, two cellos, bass and harpsichord form this chamber ensemble dedicated to the study and interpretation of the repertoire for strings stretching from the late seventeenth century to the present day, giving considerable attention to Spanish music.The Orchestra closely collaborates with institutions such as UNESCO, Spanish Ministry of Culture, Circuito Andaluz de Musica etc. It has toured successfully in Germany, Netherlands. Ireland, Italy etc
Concerto Málaga has shared the stage with such artists as Arimany Claudi Maria Luisa Cantos, Joaquín Clerch, Alexander Hülshoff, Ramon Jaffe, Yunah Lee, David Martinez, Massimo Mercelli, Benjamin Moreno, Grace Nikae, while maintaining an ongoing artistic collaboration with renowned soloists international career, Mariana Sirbu as the violinist of the Trio di Milano, cellist Mihai Dancila, the Quartetto Beethoven di Roma, the pianist Andreas Frölich, the Mendelssohn Trio Berlin and the famous guitarist Pepe Romero.
Currently, the orchestra offers its season of concerts in the capital of the Costa del Sol. . Since 2003 the artistic director is the prestigious Italian Maestro Massimo Paris, director, composer, renowned soloist and chamber musician, founder of the Quartetto Stradivari and viola soloist of the legendary group I Musici.
