The vigour and sensitivity of Beethoven’s music will be illuminated by excerpts from his letters both funny and heartrending as in his Heiligenstadt Testament and anecdotes of contemporaries with narration by Irish Actor Barry McGovern. In 2020 the world will celebrate the 250th birthday of this great composer. This is an exciting exploration of Beethoven’s personality, his creative process and his daily life through collaboration between the artistry in the Degani Piano Trio and Barry McGovern. The Piano Trio Op.70 No.2 shows Beethoven at his most subtle and mellow whil the Piano Trio in G major shows him in dramatic, witty and sparkling form.

Barry McGovern is and Irish stage, film and televsion actor. The Degani Piano Trio is an established Irish piano trio of well-known musicians. They are renowned for their insightful and joyful interpretations of the classics.
