Violinist Katherine Hunka leads the Irish Chamber Orchestra in a delightful programme that merges the classical with the traditional. Martin Hayes is regarded as one of the most extraordinary talents to emerge in the world of Irish traditional music. His unique sound, his mastery of the violin, his acknowledgement of the past and his shaping of the future of the music,  combine to create an astonishing and formidable artistic intelligence. Dennis Cahill is a master guitarist whose spare, essential accompaniment to Martin Hayes’ fiddle is acknowledged as a major breakthrough for guitar in the Irish tradition.

Dublin-born composer Dave Flynn’s work encompasses most musical styles including classical, jazz, rock and traditional Irish music. His music has been performed by Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill, the New Juilliard Ensemble, the Prague Chamber Orchestra, Ioana Petcu-Colan, the Smith Quartet, the ConTempo Quartet and the Dublin Guitar Quartet in concerts and festivals including Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Summergarden in New York, Prague Premieres, the Masters of Tradition Festival and the City of London Festival.
